Passion. Creativity. Purpose.

Updated: Sep 15, 2025

Growing up, basketball shoes were my thing. I loved the sport and loved seeing what my favorite players were wearing. That obsession grew year after year, fueling my love for sneakers to this day.

Photography was something I was interested in from a young age. Seeing my dad always with his camera out, I was drawn to taking photos as a kid. As I grew up and got my own camera, I really enjoyed—and still enjoy—landscape photography. During Covid, that shifted to sneakers as a way of sharing them on social media and staying connected with others. It gradually grew, and so did my joy in taking photos and trying to make them look better.

All of that organically spilled into teaching once I started leading digital media classes. I thought it would be fun for students to learn how to design sneakers and other creative projects in class. Sneakers, photography, and teaching each had their own spark, but together they really shaped who I am today.

“It wasn’t about capturing sneakers. It was about creating something that could inspire, connect, and live bigger than me.”

There was a moment when it all clicked for me—that this wasn’t just about sneakers or photos. It was when I realized people were connecting with what I was sharing in ways that went beyond the shoes themselves. I saw it in my classroom when students got excited about a project tied to sneakers, and I saw it online when my photos started resonating with people I’d never even met. That was the turning point, when I knew it wasn’t just about capturing sneakers, it was about creating something that could inspire, connect, and live bigger than me.

Authenticity and consistency have become everything to me. I’ve learned that whether it’s my students, people online, or even my kids at home—they can all spot when I’m not being real. So I try to show up as myself every day, in every space. Sometimes that means rocking sneakers in the classroom, sometimes it’s being creative with a messy photo setup, and other times it’s just being present with my family. Staying grounded comes from remembering that it’s not about clout or numbers, it’s about connection and impact. That’s what keeps me going.

“People can always tell when you’re not being real. So I try to show up as myself, every day, in every space.”

When people look back at my journey, I don’t just want them to see sneakers and photos. I want them to see someone who chased the things he loved and used them to make an impact. Sneakers and photography are just the tools, but the real message is about passion, creativity, and purpose. If my students, my kids, or anyone who’s followed my work can look at my journey and feel encouraged to chase what they love and share it with the world, then I’ll feel like I left something meaningful behind.

“Sneakers and photography are just the tools—the real message is passion, creativity, and purpose.”
